The "Airport Noise Caucus" in the U.S. House of Representatives focuses on supporting noise-reduction technology, related appropriations, and bills that restrict aircraft operations that unreasonably impact neighboring residents. In the 106th Congress the caucus had 24 members and representatives of New Jersey and New York districts made up half that number. In the 107th Congress many of these representatives defected.
